Simply Grass Maintenance is run by Michael Payne from his 400 acre farm near Saffron Walden in Essex. With up to seven horses alongside an arable business his team know exactly what it takes to keep on top of things, and offer a reliable, cost effective service that can make your life so much easier. While you may be aware of the importance of paddock maintenance, not everyone has the equipment or the time to get the work done, and that is where Simply Grass Maintenance comes in.

Michael recommends regular varying combinations of the following, depending on the individual plot of land:

. Grass Cutting: we can flail your paddock or cylindar mow your lawn.

. Topping: when grass has grown out of control our topper brings it back to a manageable height.

. Strimming: especially around fences, tree trunks and those tricky corners that escape the cutters.

. Fertiliser application: applied where required using the appropriate mix of fertiliser to suit the time of year and the grazing policy of the pasture.

. Spraying: using our ATV mounted sprayer, we can either apply to entire paddocks or lawns, or spot spray weeds where necessary. Our operators are all fully qualified and insured, while all of the chemicals we use are fully approved.

. Harrowing: an important Spring task, removing dead grass and old thatch and moss, allowing for the Spring growth to come through. Harrowing can also help with levelling fields damaged over winter by horses.

. Aerating: this allows air to reach the grass roots, encouraging growth.
